A dedicated work network if your gear supports VLANs, otherwise a properly segregated guest-style work SSID. So a smart fridge or a kid's tablet cannot reach your work laptop.
VPN and Zero-Trust
Tailscale or WireGuard for personal use. Your employer's VPN configured if applicable. Secure remote access to home resources when you travel.
Password Manager and MFA
1Password Families or Bitwarden, configured for the household. MFA on every account that supports it. Password reuse audited and fixed.
Backup and Recovery
A backup that actually runs. Cloud, local, or both depending on your data. Documented recovery steps so the family can find the backup if you cannot.

Two to three hour visit. Written report and 30-day warranty included. Ongoing managed protection? Care Plus at $299 a month adds Huntress endpoint protection and quarterly on-site visits.

Common Questions
I already have a desk. What does this actually change?
The setup adds the things most home offices skip. A separate work network so a kid downloading a sketchy app cannot touch your work laptop. A real password manager. A VPN if your employer needs one. Backup that actually runs. Email and calendar where they belong. The desk is fine. The plumbing behind it usually is not.
Will this satisfy my employer's remote work policy?
Most policies require a separated network, MFA, full-disk encryption, screen lock, and a documented backup. We hit those. If your employer has a specific written policy, bring it and we will configure to match. We are not a substitute for an enterprise IT team if your employer mandates managed equipment.
What VPN do you set up?
Tailscale or WireGuard for personal use. If your employer issues their own VPN client, we install and configure it. We do not push you onto a consumer VPN that exists to sell you a subscription.
Is this Care Plus?
Care Plus is the ongoing managed plan, $299 a month, including Huntress endpoint protection and quarterly on-site visits. Home Office Setup is the one-time $399 visit. Many WFH professionals do the setup, then add Care Plus once they see the value.
Do you handle the home office for cleared professionals?
Yes, with the caveat that we configure to your employer's policy. We do not have a security clearance ourselves, so we work with what you tell us your employer requires. Several customers in the cleared community use this combination.
