Yes. Brands like Lutron Serena, Lutron Triathlon, Hunter Douglas PowerView, and QMotion integrate with Alexa, Google, Apple HomeKit, Control4, and Crestron. We recommend the brand that fits your existing setup.
Do motorized shades need wiring, or are they battery powered?
Both options exist. Battery-powered shades are common for retrofits because they install without running power. Hardwired shades are ideal for new construction or remodels, and eliminate battery replacement.
How long do the batteries last?
Typically two to five years depending on shade size and how often they run. We recommend lithium battery systems that can be swapped in a few minutes without tools.
